Gentlemen,
On behalf of the Ackerman
School Reunion Group, we are very pleased to
award you with a $500 educational scholarship to
the academic or vocational school of your
choosing. Congratulations on being nominated by
your teachers for this award that was based upon
your outstanding moral character and coupled
with the following traits: trustworthy, loyal,
helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient,
cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean and reverent.
In order to receive the
scholarship money, please ask the registrar at
the academic or vocational school to request it
by sending a written letter to: Choctaw County
Department of Education, Attn. Mrs. Jean Clark,
P.O. Drawer 398, Ackerman, MS 39735. Mrs. Clark

The Ackerman School Reunion
Group was organized in 1998 and typically meets
on the fourth Saturday of April at the Ty Cobb
Complex on campus. The annual gathering is made
up of former students, administrators and
friends of AHS. The purpose of our annual
meeting is simple: renewing friendships,
reflecting on those good ole days and searching
for ways to be supportive of the school. We
cordially invite you and your AHS Class of 2008
to attend the next Ackerman School Reunion on
Saturday, April 25, 2009 - 2 PM at the Ty Cobb
Complex.
Again, please accept this
award as our way of recognizing your
accomplishments while at AHS and encouraging you
to continue your educational pursuits.
There is one more request that
we should like to make of you: read Proverbs 3:
5-6, commit it to memory, follow its
instructions, and claim its reward.
