This past July at the
South Union Campmeeting was just the beginning
of one young man's dream. Sam attended the
services regularly and got know Bro. Buddy Smith
and his family well. Buddy has been a friend of
the family for years. Sam sang almost every night
at the services. Sam had been told by many people
that he should make a recording and he had always
wanted to do that since high school. His dream
came true when Buddy Smith told him that he and
his family wanted to pay for Sam's first master
recording session. The album is titled "Angels
Among Us" and features many of the traditional
hymns sing by Elvis Presley. Tracks on the album
include:
America, The Beautiful
Peace in the Valley
Swing Down, Sweet Chariot
Amazing Grace
Take My Hand Precious Lord
How Great Thou Art
It is Well With My Soul
When He Was on the Cross
Angels Among Us
Where Were You
The CD's will not be sold;
donations will be graciously accepted, as Sam is a
full time college student. If you would like to

Carol and I were blessed with
the birth of our grandson, Casey Joseph Fowler, on
October 14, 2002.
The other Grandpa, Joe, is
telling folks that our new grandson looks exactly
like HIM so I decided to set up a little online
poll to settle the matter once and for all. BUT
I AM GETTING BEAT AT MY OWN POLL! 297 people
have voted and Grandpa Joe is whoopin' Grandpa
Buddy 70.37% to 29.63%.
I need your help today!
Grandpa Joe is playing some dirty politics here.
He is a big employer in Lee County and I suspect
some real shenanigans are going on. I can't
prove it yet, but I'm digging for it.
I come to you today to ask for
your vote. Surely I can count on my loyal AHS
Alumni friends to swing this election in my favor.
I could ask you to look very
carefully before you vote and you'll discover an
amazingly striking resemblance to Grandpa Buddy
but I GOTTA WIN! I hate to stoop to dirty
politics BUT I GOTTA WIN THIS POLL! So, forget the
comparisons and cast your biased vote for me now -
