  The AHS Class of 1970 had their class reunion with a cookout at Choctaw Lake on Saturday and a dinner meeting at Paps on Saturday night. Deborah Blake, Lynn Ray and Herman Morris were in charge of the reunion. Those going to Choctaw Lake were: Deborah Blake, Lynn Ray, Charles Crimm of Ackerman; Herman Morris of Eupora, Janey Busby of Weir, Betty Jo Black of Coffeeville, MS, Barbara Curtis of Winterhaven, Fla, Gloria Walker of Mathiston, Phil Burchfield of Starkville, Coach Parker and Mrs. Dykes; Bobby Jones of Bay St. Louis, MS, and Barry Stacy of Chattsworth, Colo. Elizabeth Graves and Clara Williams were the teachers attending and Coach Dykes of Laurel, MS, with 17 present.

  On Saturday night at Paps there were 35 present with members and spouses, and teachers, Coach Dykes, Eddy Vaughn and Billy Carlisle and Vickie of Ackerman. Billy was a classmate and also taught at Ackerman for many years.
